Connor’s poor showing in the Easter Egg Hunt was Daddy’s fault…
Which is no surprise to Grandma! Daddy has always had trouble finding Easter Eggs and there is some old footage from 1974 that proves that point…(look at the video on this old posting)
So the 0-3 year olds were suppose to go out front and get the eggs. The 4-8 years old were suppose to go out back. Daddy over-analyzed the situation and it cost Connor precious time.
0-3 years olds? Connor is almost 3.5 yrs old. Does he go there or does he go with the 4-8 years olds????…some of those kids are REALLY big.
Off we went with the 0-3 years olds…by the time we got there,

they had already picked up most of the eggs and Connor was scrambling just to get two eggs. Daddy was having flashbacks to 1974 and was desperately trying to point Connor in the right direction…finally, two eggs in the basket. Quickly Daddy had another idea…let’s hit the 4-8 year old hunt…it is just around back in a big field and Daddy remembered seeing A LOT of eggs (surely, they had to have some left).
Trying to correct my mistake and make good on my empty basket in 1974, I quickly rushed Connor over to the field in the back of the church…Daddy snapped a picture of the two eggs from the 0-3 year old age range.
I knew there were a lot of eggs back there and they hadn’t started too long ago…he was bound to get some eggs.
Ok…maybe those big kids move a little quicker than I thought…
Connor did manage to get 3 more eggs…at least he didn’t go “eggless” like Daddy did 37 years ago!
Connor learned a lot and “cleaned up” at Brenna and Gavin’s Grandparents’ house later in the afternoon. (Plus Daddy was too busy with Jacob, so he wasn’t able to mess it up for Connor!)
