Daddy, Mommy, and Connor had a very fun and busy day on Satuday. We went to Norfolk and visited ODU and the MacArthur Center.
While at ODU, we snapped some pictures of the soon to be ODU basketball and football star. It was a bit chilly and a bit bright, so the pictures didn’t turn out too well. Here are a few.
Everyone was so tired when we got back that we took a 2.5 hour nap.
Enjoy.

On Friday night, Grandpa and Mimi came over for dinner. I’d say Connor is getting much more comfortable being around others. In the past it would take him 10-15 minutes to warm up to visitors but lately he is quite comfortable as soon as they come in the door.
Grandpa breaks the ice with Connor by picking him up and letting him down as if he is jumping high. Conor loves that!
Mimi chases Connor around until he runs to Mommy or Daddy for protection. He absolutely loves this too!

Daddy enjoyed playing basketball when he was growing up so it is only natural that Connor will too (right?!?!?!).
Here is some early video of our soon to be NBA superstar.

…to find a way to keep Connor entertained, busy, and fed while Mommy and Daddy eat dinner.
How??? Simply give him corn on the cob.
Here are some pics and videos of Connor and his corn on the cob.

We had our first wedding to shoot this past weekend and Daddy was worried about leaving Connor with the grandparents on Friday and Saturday due to his separation anxiety.
Well, Grandpa and Mimi reported that Connor did great Friday evening for about 2 hours. They played with Connor and he was in a great mood when Mommy and Daddy got home. Grandpa kept picking Connor up with his hands under Connor’s armpits as if Connor was jumping each time. Each time Grandpa did this, Connor let our a giggle and a BIG SMILE! (He didn’t want Grandpa to stop.)
On Saturday, he was with Grandma for around 9 hours and from all accounts, he did great!!! Good job, Connor (and Grandma)! Grandma put Connor to sleep on the couch downstairs. When Mommy and Daddy arrived around 10pm, he was sound asleep. Connor started to stir when he heard Daddy talking to Grandma. Daddy started to worry that Connor would begin to cry because usually when he wakes up he is a little disoriented and has been known to cry. Grandma was right there for him and when he woke up and saw her, Daddy noticed it comforted Connor. He didn’t bother looking for Mommy or Daddy — seeing Grandma soothed him enough that he laid right back down for a few seconds.

The doctor suggested that we hold off on feeding Connor fish until he is 18 months old due to the potential for an allergic reaction. Victoria and I do not have any known allergies, so we decided about a month ago to feed Connor some fish.
At that time, he was not too fond of salmon but did enjoy some tilapia a few nights later. Tonight, I cooked salmon on the grill and Connor absolutely loved it! I could not give him enough.
That’s my boy. I love fish. Salmon on the grill is something that Victoria and I have quite frequently regardless of the weather. So, hopefully Connor will continue to be a seafood lover.
We will hold off on feeding him any shellfish as they seem to cause more allergic reactions than fish (at least that is what I have been told).

The other night as we were finishing up dinner, Connor decided he was not quite done…so he started to eat a little more.
He definitely takes after his Daddy (as I was caught on video doing something similar).

Connor and Daddy were having so much fun tonight. Daddy was acting like he was sleeping and then would all of sudden open his eyes and say “huughh” to Connor. Watch what happens (especially the first couple of seconds.)
Remember, no children were harmed during the filming of this video…

Connor, Mommy, and Daddy went for a walk tonight. As most of you know, he loves to push anything that will move (furniture, Daddy while he is crawling, and big lawn furniture at Grandma’s).
Here is the latest…
