The only food that we have run across that Connor does not like is carrots. As a baby, my mom says I loved carrots but would not eat beets (who eats those things anyways). Well, here is Daddy torturing Connor with some carrots. All the beeping and noise in the background is Mommy making Connor something different to eat…

As the 2008 USA Olympic Crawling champion fell behind early in his first few bouts while in training at Grandma’s house, I reminded him that “A lot of the top players (his daddy and uncle) went out in the first round” but over time they won the gold!

So today, Connor sums it all up by saying,  “As my attempted rounds at crawling progressed (thanks to ALL my trainers), my  nerves became less and less and I kind of just let things happen and trusted my instincts and in the gold medal pursuit, I just let everything flow.  I took every motion yesterday, August 9^th, 2008 like a winner from the start, I couldn’t give anybody breathing room.   I went for the gold, like relatives before me, I Won the Gold!!!

Mommy and Daddy moved all the furniture out of her office today and put up these big lights and this white and then black sheet of paper. I liked crawling on it and drooling on it. Then all of a sudden all the lights started flashing. Mommy was telling me to look at her, but all I kept seeing was bright lights.

Then, Daddy was trying to show me how to hit a knock down 5 iron (like he will do when he beats Uncle Danny and Uncle Bucky in golf next week). I acted like I didn’t know how to hold the golf clubs during the picture taken, but when Mommy and Daddy put me to the side aftewards, I started to pick up and bang the golf club on the ground. Similar to how Uncle Danny bangs his golf club on the ground when he hits his ball into the woods. The only difference is I didn’t break my club like Uncle Danny has done before. Grandma, can you tell Uncle Danny to play nice with Daddy when he golfs?

The race between Grandma and Daddy is no longer (for crawling). Daddy has officially declared Connor’s actions as crawling today.

In the spirit of the Olympic games, I am sure there will be some Olympic judges that might dispute this. Some may say he crawled first at Grandma’s house or he crawled first at Mimi and Grandpa’s house.

BUT, Mommy caught Connor crawling on video today!!! We one up’ed the grandparents! Way to go Connor!

Connor is moving around pretty good now and we will definitely have to keep an eye on him. Time to corral him in one of those plastic fences!!! Just kidding…maybe. 😉
