Daddy had to work on Saturday and Mommy went out with Mimi and Aunt Catherine so Connor got to spend a few hours with Grandma. Daddy joined Grandma and Connor for a late lunch and then they went outside in Grandma’s backyard and had a wonderful time.
Sunday was even better. Daddy and Connor went over to Grandma’s house and had lunch and then Connor had his first experience with “Spring chores at Grandma’s” Grandma and Daddy started slow this year, but it included Connor watching Daddy cut down to large branches on one of Grandma’s trees. He was so fascinated when Daddy was sawing the branches.
He also got to watch Grandma and Daddy clean out some of Grandma’s flower beds. Just wait Connor…I am sure Grandma will be providing “chore money” to you when you are old enough to work around her house.
Daddy also hung Connor’s swing. Here are some pictures and a video of it.
Other than the day we brought Connor home from the hospital after his birth (a slight dusting), this is the first time Connor has seen snow.
Daddy played “hookie” today so he could take Connor outside.
Connor was less than impressed with his sled which Grandma bought for him a couple of months ago in anticipation of his first snow fall. Daddy pulled Connor around for about 30 seconds and then Connor showed his displeasure.
Connor refused to touch the snow and was definitely nervous while standing in it.
We only stayed outside for about 10 minutes because it was quite windy and cold.
I posted some pictures of Connor in his photo gallery, so check them out.
