Hard to believe our baby is now 5 months old. Time has flown by! He is sleeping great and eating solids now too. He has come a long way from those restless nights during his acid reflux issues.
Last night Jacob started fussing at 7:30pm…I thought it was too early for bed and we thought maybe it was the carrots he had for dinner (a new food for him). After trying to feed him and soothe him, I finally asked if he wanted to go to bed. He stopped crying for a second. So, upstairs we went and I laid him down. No more crying a little cooing and playing and then he was asleep. He woke up at 8am this morning…12 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Now if we could only get his older brother to do this…Connor wakes up in the morning like his Daddy…bright and early (as soon as the sun is up) — I can just assume it is because he wants to become a golfer one day and play at the crack of dawn.
Jacob’s favorite foods:
peaches
bananas (really loves these)
sweet potatoes
Least favorite:
peas
Peaches don’t seem to agree with his stomach as of yet.
Connor has been sick since yesterday. He has been running a fever but eating and drinking pretty normal. If he is not better tomorrow, we will take him into the pediatrician to see if it is an ear infection or something else.
Mommy was complaining of a headache earlier and is now telling me her stomach is hurting (she is in bed now).
Jacob thinks it is play time and is making all sorts of noises in his crib right now. (He regularly goes down at 8pm each night…so this is LATE for him.)
Hopefully, I can get some sleep tonight and I won’t get want seems to be going around…
I’ve been singing the ABCs to Jacob and he usually has a great time smiling and laughing at Daddy while I sing (am I that bad?!?!?!).
Anyways, I noticed he studies the movement of my mouth when I do it. I also noticed he actually was trying to mimic my lip/mouth movement early today. This evening he was doing it quite a bit, so I tried to capture it on video after singing it to him a few times. Watch and you tell me if it looks like he is trying to mimic me.
