Fun night sleeping last night…

September 10th, 2007 by Donnie

I did quite a bit of work around the house yesterday and must have been a little over-tired so I had one of my infamous nights sleeping. I woke Victoria and the baby (see his/her posting below) because I swore that there was a snake in the bed. Half of you are thinking — what is he talking about. The other half know about my “sleep issues”.

Spiders, snakes, ghosts, etc… have a tendency to cause sleep problems for me and Victoria (seeing I always wake her up). I’ve had them since I was a kid and they come and go — usually tied to me being overtired or eating something before heading to bed (at least that is what I tell my mother). The truth is ever since my Mom dressed up in a white sheet and jumped out of a closet at my Grandmother’s house when I was 5 or 6, I have never slept soundly. 😉

As far as the baby “complaining” about not getting any sleep. I am sure Victoria and I will have plenty of sleepless nights come January, February, March, etc…

After my 2am snake wake-up call we went back to bed. Sometime later that morning, I heard Victoria trying to get out of bed and I guess I still wasn’t sound asleep but was not fully awake. I got up and helped her out of bed. Then I helped her into the bathroom. We walked slowly to the bathroom with me holding her tight so she would not fall. You would have thought she was 9 months pregnant and incapable of walking by the way I was helping her into the bathroom.

We had a good laugh about it this evening when she reminded me of the snake and the bathroom visit.

Hoping for a good night sleep tonight…

A baby boy! Best wishes to you and Victoria and lots of happy memories.
Ghost fright causing nightmares – you and Bucky must have misunderstood me. I was a “good” ghost aka Casper the Friendly Ghost but Bucky ran to fast and jumped into grandma’s arms before I could tell him. You just jumped into a bed and buried your face. I also dressed up as Santa Claus for you both with no complaints. Maybe “Casper” needed a bag of toys and a “Ho, Ho, Ho, instead of “BOO”!

    Love, Mom
