“Mommy…Daddy mad.”
A couple of months ago, Connor began to pull at his wallpaper border that is along his wall above his changing table. He caught a little piece of it and of course I was not happy about it.
I told Mommy to make sure that he doesn’t pull it anymore or it will start to come off (seeing she changes/dresses him more than I do).
Spin it forward a couple of months…
I am putting Connor’s pajamas on tonight after he had his bath. I had him stand up (yes, I was holding him) so I could pull his pants up. After we did that, he turned around and gently picked at the little piece of wallpaper he had loosened months ago.
I said, “No.”
He then announces, “Mommy…Daddy mad.”
Mommy was waiting for us in the bathroom so we could brush his hair. I brought him in and he kept telling her, “Mommy…Daddy mad. Mommy…Daddy mad.” I couldn’t hold it together and began to laugh, then Mommy laughed. You really had to be there to enjoy that moment.
You can bet, Mommy told him several times in the past couple of months that he better stop pulling the wallpaper because “Daddy will be mad.”
Thus the “Mommy…Daddy mad.”
