Connor and Daddy spend some time together at Yorktown beach…

July 14th, 2010 by Donnie

Connor and I had a blast at Yorktown Beach last night. We sat on the dock and just looked at the big ships together. We were standing and he turned to me and said, “Sit down.” Then he sat down and we just stared at the “big boat”.

I would run in front of him and snap pictures of him. He posed on a light pole for me as well. All the people sitting and out walking were say how cute he was. We walked by two women in their late 40’s that were watching us and they said he was “so cute”. I said thank you, and then he turned to them and gave them a big smile as if to say, “that’s right!” They started laughing and “oohing and ahhing” over him.

He met a girl there that was 3 yrs old. She was there hanging out with her father (we don’t know them). They ran around for about 5 minutes and then she wanted me to snap a picture of her with Connor, so I did. It was cute to see him interact with her.

We got ice cream. I bought him a childrens small berry sorbet and a adult small cherry Garcia for me (cherries, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate shavings). He quickly realized he liked mine more (had more ice cream and tasted better) and was switched the ice cream with me. “No Daddy. Daddy ice cream.” (then he switched with me).

On the ride home I asked, “Did you have a good time?” He said, “Yes” and then kept repeating something. I didn’t understand what he was saying and then finally realized what he was saying, “Daddy, high five.” So I reached in the back and he gave me a BIG high five as if to say, “Thanks for the great time, Dad!” I love him! Nice to have some “free time” with him.

Here are some pics (click on the one below) from our time at Yorktown beach:
