Uncle Danny and Connor

So, on Saturday Victoria had a photo shoot in Richmond (about 15 minutes from Uncle Danny’s house).

Daddy, Connor, and Jacob visited Uncle Danny and Ms. Whitney at Uncle Danny’s house.  He was well prepared (except for food).  He had two water guns and had cut his grass.  Out back we went and I fed Jacob and Uncle Danny and Connor played.

Look at how creative Uncle Danny was…he took his beer cooler and filled it with water for Connor to fill his water gun up with.  In this picture, Connor was acting like he was having fun but truthfully was hoping Uncle Danny had a pool like Grandma and Daddy.  The cooler was a great idea…thanks Uncle Danny!

It was time for Daddy to go pick up Mommy and the big question came up…

Daddy — “Connor, do you want to stay with Uncle Danny or go with me?”

Connor — “Stay with Uncle Danny.”

Uncle Danny — “This kid stuff is easy…you just keep him busy and he is happy.”

Daddy — “I can leave Jacob with you too, if it is that easy.”

Uncle Danny — “No, that is ok.”

About 5 minutes later, Uncle Danny calls me.  I hear Connor playing with him and then I hear…”I have to go poop.”  Uncle Danny says, “Do you have to go #2???”  First Uncle Danny, he has no clue what #1 and #2 is.  Remember your buddy from kindergarten who used to call it a “BM”…you still don’t know what a “BM” stands for today.  Call it what it is…he is gonna have to learn some day.

Back to the story.

Uncle Danny (to me on the phone)…”Let me go I have to help him.”

I get a call about 5 mins later…[Uncle Danny worried]…”I wiped him, but nothing was on it.”  Evidently, he has never seen how clean a “BM” can be on a child.  Then he tells me how he initially went in to the bathroom with him (hoping he had to go #1 and not #2).  Uncle Danny lifted both lids (as if to brainwash his nephew into thinking he had to go #1).  Not so fast…Connor told him to put the other lid down because he had to go poop.  He goes and Uncle Danny wipes (clean toilet paper).

Later Uncle Danny notices Connor is scratching his rear-end a little bit…still thinking he missed the wipe area or something…Uncle Danny takes him back into the bathroom and used one of Jacob’s wipes on him.  Connor let him know, “That is Jacob’s wipe.”  Uncle Danny says, “I know but I need to wipe you again.”  Again…Uncle Danny came up empty on the wipe.  Connor when you are much older and have much more to wipe, you will understand the perplexed look Uncle Danny had when he came up “empty” two times in a row.

Classic story…thanks for the “moment” Uncle Danny.
