with Victoria’s baby shower, the photography business, visiting our new niece (congrats Chad, Catherine, and Brenna), and getting the baby’s room ready. Honestly, I have been taking pictures and videos that I intend to post in the next week or so.

Victoria and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary. Now most of you are thinking, I thought they got married in October 2003. Well, yes we did. Our first date was on September 28, 2001 and we went to the Neptune Arts Festival in Virginia Beach.

We try to go every year and made it again this year. Here is a short video of Victoria having some ice cream on the boardwalk. It was a beautiful night and we had a great time.

Next year, we will be strolling on the boardwalk with our 9 month old son. We can’t wait!

Most of you know we have two cats (we each brought one into the relationship).  About 2 months ago, we had a stray roaming the neighborhood and hanging out in our yard.  He was crying and Victoria suckered me into giving him some food.  He quickly realized how “good” he could have it here and warmed right up to us.

I was a little hesitant on bringing him in the house because I didn’t want to upset the balance in the house.  Our two cats get along pretty well and we don’t have litter box or behavioral problems that I hear others talk about.  Well, we slowly introduced the stray cat into the house.  The veterinary assistant gave him the name of Thomas because he is an orange cat.  The name has stuck and he has lived with us for a little over a month now.  The vet says he is about 10-12 yrs old and is healthy.  He has adjusted well and is a lover and lapcat.

At night, he sleeps in between Victoria and I on top of the snoogle.  So now I have the baby, the snoogle, and a cat in between me and my wife.  Soon, I’ll be looking for another bed.  😉

Victoria and I attended a birthday party recently and I snapped a picture of Victoria snackin’ on a brownie.

Victoria and I continue to busy with the photography business.  She has done an excellent job this year and has done 11 weddings so far.  We continue to get referrals from the jobs we have already done and may have 3-4 more weddings to do between now and the end of November.  I am excited for her because she has been able to find a job that she likes and is able to use her talent to capture those special moments for others.

I am going to get back to posting again and have a few pics and videos to post today.

A few weeks ago Victoria say she felt some movement but was not too sure about it.  Well, the baby is now kicking/moving quite a bit now.  She says when she is on the computer he is moving.  When she was driving this evening, she felt him moving and kicking quite a bit.  I see her pushing on her stomach trying to feel it and then she invites me to feel.  It must still be a bit early for me to feel because I could not tell.

I am a bit jealous but think it is cool she is feeling the baby.  It is only a matter of time before I will be able to feel the baby.  I can’t wait.

Since finding out we are having a boy, Victoria and I have been out shopping for things for the our little boy. Of course we first went to Babies R Us and updated our registry with a lot of boy clothes. Blue, blue, blue… I’ve been told not to buy too many blue items because we will want to see him in something else. So, we bought light blues and dark blues. 😉

Don’t worry, we bought some browns and yellows too.

We also stopped by Baby Depot in Burlington Coat Factory the other day. We were impressed with their selection of baby items and saw a crib and dresser(s) that we like. We are just not positive on what we will buy just yet.
